Greg Posein is a graduate of storied El Dorado High (Nevin, Boone, Tomko, Petry). While there, he was the starting catcher on the nationally ranked varsity team under legendary coach, Steve Gullotti.
Due to personal reasons in his life, Greg left baseball for a short period of time. Other that coach Gullotti, these coaches included:
Steve Leavitt (Atlanta Braves), John Cole (Toronto Blue Jays), Matt Lundeen (Philadelphia Phillies), and George Genovese (LA Dodgers).
Posein moved down to the San Diego area and began working for Prime Time under Butch Smith.
He now coaches club teams and offers private lessons in his Rip Baseball program.
In `03 his team won the USABF Championship. From 04-07 Posein was a varsity assistant, under Hall of Fame High School coach, Dave Barrett at Oceanside High School. Greg`s `05 team was champion of the Orange County Connie Mack league. In `07 he had teams that won the USSSA and Triple Crown State Championships. In `08 his team was `Top 10` in Steamboat Springs.
